Le Conseil du saumon du Nouveau-Brunswick (CSNB) est un organisme bénévole à but non lucratif voué à la protection et à la conservation du saumon atlantique sauvage et soutenant la restauration et l'amélioration du saumon atlantique et de ses habitats dans tous ses bassins hydrographiques indigènes au Nouveau-Brunswick.

We are currently soliciting nominations for the Lieutenant Governor's Award for Wild Atlantic Salmon Conservation.   

This Award constitutes the province's most prestigious and preeminent recognition of individual(s) or organizations whose efforts have contributed significantly to the conservation and protection of New Brunswick's Atlantic salmon. 

The award was created in 2000 by the New Brunswick Salmon Council in partnership with the Honorary Patron of the Council, the Lieutenant Governor of New Brunswick.  Recipients of the award are selected by a committee appointed by the New Brunswick Salmon Council. The recipient is recognized for having gone above and beyond the call in their contribution to salmon conservation in New Brunswick.

Nominees are evaluated against the following criteria:Achievement: Has significantly contributed to the conservation or enhancement of Atlantic salmon populations or public awareness of the importance of Atlantic salmon or its habitat in New Brunswick.

Future Benefits: Has played a key role in projects that are expected to have a long-lasting or long-term beneficial effects for wild Atlantic salmon populations.

Range of Impact: Has successfully influenced, initiated or completed conservation projects in provincial rivers, watersheds, or marine environments.

Service: Has contributed a significant number of years of service as an organization, Director, Committee Chair, Officer with the NBSC, Affiliate, non-affiliate, or a federal, provincial committee; or participated with Atlantic salmon fund raising projects including dinners etc., or has made significant donations which have assisted projects and program relating to the conservation and improvement of wild Atlantic salmon.
